Projects > Deluge

"Deluge" explores the organic structure of a suggested waterfall. It's month long site-specific construction at the Davis Museum in MA, was the process of organizing and meticulously weaving together lines provided by the broken glass. In accordance, the twenty foot cascade of black glass undulates like a gestural drawing.

The cracks of the glass create a dynamic flow of lines, shapes and forms, offset by the verticality of the visible framework of its wooden substructure. Sourced from recycled cracked car windshields painted black on one side, each piece of glass is uniquely imbued with the potential of a tragic story, while the piece as a whole, the deluge, can be considered a cleansing, a washing away, a renewal.
